Just Announced: Two Guys and Another Guy will be featured on Soundcheck - the great local music show on WHJY. The show will air at 12 Midnight on Sunday 11/22. Two Guys will be featuring the return of legendary guitar god Jon Jones...It will be a memorable show. The band will perform live in the WHJY Studios using the revolutionary technology of the 421 Mobil Unit. If you are outside the WHJY listening area please tune to the website at www.whjy.com.

The artist would like to inform you all that the 2009-2010 ASCAPlus Award recipients have been announced...

Dopey is pleased to announce that for the 8th time the Jazz and Popular Awards Panel has selected him for the award.

Dopey has been an ASCAP member since 1997. He currently has 8 songs registered in their ACE database.

On behalf of George, Rockin' Rob, Tommy and Stumpy we'd like to congratulate Dopey on this achievement.

Next show is 11/24 in Providence RI - There will be a formal announcement soon...

Thanks to everyone for coming out on Friday at Jimmy's - What a great time we all had! Friends Michael and Rosana Beaver really enjoyed the event. The band's all really kicked it...Special shout out to the DiePods - Newport's Premier New Band.

The Sunday gig at the farm was a lot of fun as well. The kids really enjoyed themselves. They loved the petting zoo. Brian and Karla have a great organic farm steeped in history. We appreciate the repeat invitation to perform again this year. Special shout out to Boo from The Brunt of It for providing a bunch of gear. Thanks to the Homewreckers for the slot change.

We can't wait to see you again at the MIst on 8/22...

Dopey is on his way to RI for the weekend of shows. We'll see everyone on 7/31 at Jimmy's and 8/2 at the Farm.

Dopey Lopes has released the following dates as confirmed for this summer: All shows will be billed as "Dopey Lopes with Two Guys and Another Guy". Dopey's band will feature Rockin' Rob George, Tommy Tenz, and Stumpy Titz. Two Guys will perform as the "Touring Lineup" which features Dopey, Sully, later era drummer Stumpy (1991 - 1992), and special guest Rockin' Rob George.

The dates are:

July 11th - Music on the Farm at the Simmons Farm in Middletown; Unsure of lineup beyond Dopey, Sully and TGAAG

July 31st - Jimmy's - an evolving lineup that should feature the Diepods, Dopey and Sully/TGAAG, Primitive Ritual, 6 Star General and more...keep checking back for the final the final details on this one.

August 22nd - The Ocean Mist - Dopey, Sully and TGAAG open for the Jungle Dog's and Neutral Nation. This one promises to be even bigger than the March show...

Hi everyone...Dopey here. The Ocean Mist show was off the hook!

We had over 140 paying customers and everyone had a great time. Thanks to the Jungle Dogs and Neutral Nation for anchoring the show. Both acts put on great performances.

We had a lot of video and audio recording going on and will be releasing it all once the post production is completed...

Dopey Lopes here to tell you that the 3/28 Ocean Mist gig is Confirmed!

Dopey Lopes/Two Guys will be opening for the Jungle Dogs and Neutral Nation. The show will be filmed for the upcoming Documentary on the history of Neutral Nation and the incredible Providence music scene that existed in the late 1980's into the 1990's. Dopey is pleased to be returning to the O mist for his first gig there in a decade! It promises to be an exciting night.

Dopey is pleased to announce that there is a booking shaping up for late March at the famous "Ocean Mist" in Matunuck RI. The lineup is still being firmed up, but appears to be Neutral Nation, The Jungle Dogs, and Two Guys and Another Guy with Dopey Lopes. I'll post again once it is confirmed.

The recent shows to benefit Jon Jones were very successful. We roped in enough money for Jon to have a nice nest egg now that he is out of the hospital and resting comfortably at home. Stay tuned for more updates...

As many of you are aware, Jon is hospitalized right now. Members of all the bands he has worked with are collaborating to do a series of concerts to benefit him. We hope to raise $10K to help him get started after he gets out. Their will also be a website for people who want to donate but can't attend any of the events. The first event is scheduled for 2/6 in Newport RI at Jimmy's Saloon. The show will feature Two Guys and Another Guy (trio format), Dopey Lopes (with Tommy Tenz), Primitive Ritual and possibly a special performance by Positive Outlook. Others will be announced soon. The door charge will be a donation of $20.00 per person.

New Year's Eve show is CANCELLED due to the health concerns of our legendary Guitar Player, Jon Jones. Everyone please continue to send your good thoughts and get well wishes to Jon, Chrissie, and his family. They will appreciate it. The next show will be Dopey Lopes with his Solo Band in late Feb...Stay Tuned!
